Molly Davis is a realist watercolor and oil painter who has national and regional awards for her art. She splits her time between plein aire painting and work in the studio. Her quest to find the best painting light, through travel, is balanced by her enjoyment of teaching at the prestigious Scottsdale Artists' School and the widely recognized Art Students League of Denver.
For ten of her twelve years as a commercial artist she ran her own business. Then in 1992, Molly took the leap and committed to paint full time. Since then she has painted every day, and worked and studied with artists the caliber of Kim English, Burton Silverman and Ned Jacob. Molly believes that drawing and the fundamentals of painting must be learned before one can become a complete artist. Further, she states that, ".........mastering those skills takes a lifetime of work and study."
