expression as well as the out-of-doors, convinced
him it was time to move. He rented a studio in Denver, Colorado over the
phone, sold everything he could not pack in his truck and was on the road
to the mountains. He made friends within the Denver art community and
was convinced by them to begin doing work for the gallery market.
Hollis now makes his home in Loveland, Colorado near the foothills of
the Rockies, close to art foundry facilities as well as the outdoors.
His travel, show schedules, and research allow him the luxury of spending
time in most of the western states each year and some of the Canadian
Provinces, with an occasional trip to Europe. His paintings, drawings
and sculptures enjoy international and national display.
In April of 1988, Hollis Williford was honored with a retrospective exhibit
